Mother Tongue Heritage
Global Youth Philanthropy, in collaboration with the China-US Charity Foundation and "Bilingual Chinese" from the New Oriental Education & Technology Group, has launched a public welfare project. We are seeking bilingual and enthusiastic teenagers to become volunteer tutors/language partners and help Chinese orphans, who have been adopted by American families, to learn Chinese language and culture. Our aim is to help these children with unique identities and experiences become friendly ambassadors between China and the United States.
GYP Reading Club
The GYP Reading Club guides and supports teenagers in raising funds for book sharing, both domestically and internationally, as well as organizing reading salon events. Using books as a medium, it promotes public reading and facilitates cross-cultural exchanges among young people around the world.
One-on-One Support for Education
We propose pairing youth and parents from all over the world to help students in impoverished rural areas of China. A monthly sponsorship of 180 RMB (about 25 USD) will be provided to alleviate financial concerns and allow the children to focus on their studies. We also welcome participating youth to offer online courses in mathematics, English, arts, STEM, and other subjects to help rural students improve their grades and broaden their horizons.
Little Birds Initiative
The Little Birds Initiative aims to provide care for left-behind children in China. The initiative cooperates with manufacturing companies, recruits teenagers as little teachers or assistants, and holds American-style summer camps for children of migrant workers.
Youth Friends Around the World
The Global Youth Philanthropy Platform aims to recruit passionate young people for public welfare, with a special focus on supporting groups with special needs. Through various forms of peer friendship and mutual learning, we promote cross-cultural exchanges and growth among young people around the world.
Girl Strong - Caring for Underprivileged Girls in South Africa
Global Youth Philanthropy, in partnership with Panshi Zhuoer Academy and The Heart Impact Project, has launched an initiative to care for underprivileged girls in South Africa. For just RMB 60 yuan (less than 10 USD) per year, we provide sanitary pads to girls in need, ensuring they don't miss out on their studies during menstruation. We also offer academic and financial assistance.
Public Welfare Art Exhibition
We are collecting outstanding artworks, such as paintings, calligraphy, photography, origami, ceramics, and sculptures. We will hold both online and offline thematic art exhibitions. With the authors' permission, we will give excellent works to American nursing homes, children's hospitals, and other institutions. This encourages and supports young artists to serve the community and contribute to society through art public welfare projects.
